Kirby Reese, Bandmaster
Born and raised in Ohio, Kirby Reese earned his Bachelor of Music in Education degree from Youngstown State University. After teaching a couple years in Ohio, he moved to Bloomington, Illinois and received his Master of Music in Trumpet Performance from Illinois State University. He then played professionally for a few years, taught at Illinois Wesleyan University on a part time basis, and then was hired by McLean County Unit District 5 Schools as a music teacher.

Mr. Reese has been with Unit 5 Schools ever since. He is married to the former Suzanne Karas of Youngstown, Ohio. They are the proud parents of Kara, 25, and Krista, 22. They are permitted to share their house with their miniature schnauzer, Max.
